• The Waterloo Region Community Legal Services has been helpful in providing some paralegal advice to some of the tenants in the building. They are actually just down the road from the building at 450 Frederick St. They have walk-in hours Tuesday-Thursday.
• Renting in Ontario: Know Your Rights.
• The Eviction Prevention Waterloo Region is a local organization that provides assistants to tenants who need help understanding their rights in fighting evictions.  They have also provided support in helping tenants in making landlord tenant board filings (FORM T2: Application about Tenant Rights).  This page includes contact information for local peer workers who may be able to help you if you have questions.
• The Waterloo Region ACORN is a multi-issue organization that, among other things, helps people facing issues related to their landlords (particularly renovictions).

• If you've received an N13 notice, you can fill out the Online eviction survey from the city of Kitchener.  Information submitted to this survey can be used to inform the city of Kitchener about the significant burden that's been placed upon tenants in these unlawful renovictions.
• The city of Kitchener property standards and municipal codes outline the rules on maintenance and occupancy that all property owners must follow.  If you’ve noticed a property that does not meet these rules, file a property standards complaint: Property Standards Complaint Form
