Someone sent me a message asking for an update on the garbage chute repairs, so I'll provide an update on what I know:

I was talking to a worker in the lobby the other day who said that the garbage chute would be working again in 'a couple weeks'. I also heard from another tenant that an order (from the city possibly?) had been given for a deadline of September 9th to fix the garbage chute. I do not have an official confirmation for any of this information.
