- On January 11, 2026 I sent an email to the divisional court to ask if they could confirm or deny that an appeal was actually filed in relation to the LTB-L-037761 et al. case that we won on October 14, 2025.
- I did not receive a response, so on May 8, 2026 I replied again to the same email thread with the same request for information.
- On July 14, 2026 a representative of the divisional court replied to this email and confirmed that an appeal was actually filed. The case number for the appeal is DC-26-00000015-0000. Additionally, they provided instructions for looking up information about this case on https://courts.ontario.ca/.
- Using this search feature, I was able to find the following page which list information confirming that an appeal to the case does exist: 250 Frederick Inc. v. Hain et al
- As shown on the page (at least as of today while I am writing this), it appears that there are no upcoming events, so presumably no hearings have been scheduled yet. Also of note is the fact that it says 'Judicial Review', which is not necessarily the same thing as an 'appeal'.
